Traditional Casement Windows

View Windows style options

We find most EJMA/ stormproof windows fail to enhance the building they are in, there is a lack of depth and style. WEstbury’s traditional window has projecting mullions which give depth and the impression that they are original, while incorporating a unique concelaed stormproof system. Unlike many so-called conservation windows on the market there are no machine grooves accross the joints. These are made in standard sizes or to fit any existing openings. Generally we would have fixed sashes in the non-opening frames, which give total balance, thus giving equal site lines to the glass apertures. Joints are double mortice and tenon combed joints.

A draught excluder is fitted to the frame. Sashes can also be hung on painted pin hinges with a friction arm stay fitted into the head of the frame and sash.

Windows and frames have two coats of paint prior to delivery. One further site coat is required once installed to meet manufacturer guarnatees.
