Westbury Conservatories

Traditional casement windows
With nearly 1000 conservatories to our name, we feel we know something about casement windows. We find most modern EJMA/storm proof windows fail to enhance the building they are in, there is a lack of depth and style. Westbury's traditional window has projecting mullions, which give depth and the impression that they are original, while incorporating a unique concealed storm proof system. Unlike many so-called conservation windows on the market there are no machine grooves across the joints. These are made in standard sizes or to fit any existing openings. Generally we would have fixed sashes in the non-opening frames, which gives total balance, thus giving equal site lines to the glass apertures. Joints are mortice and tennon combed joints.

Specifications
Treated laminated redwood. All frames 63mmx92mm with staff beads to form the rebates and horns (unless the order states otherwise).

Windows and frame have 2 coats of paint prior to delivery (one further site coat required). Double or single glazed toughened 4mm glass. Draft excluder is fitted to the frame.

Westbury use stainless steel friction stays which allow casement to be top or side hung (size will limit side hung).

All windows are hung with multi point espagnolette locks fitted with locking handle incorporating night vents.

Cill rebated for window board (unless stated otherwise in order). All windows are factory glazed using dry drainage system.
