Westbury Conservatories

Founded 18 years ago by MD Jonathan Hey Westbury has grown to become one of the premier bespoke timber conservatory companies in the UK market. This has been driven by our attention to detail, which has become a byword for any product endorsed by the Westbury mark of quality.

For nearly two decades, our craftsmen have been designing, developing and manufacturing doors and windows for Westbury conservatories perfecting the detail and quality that is synonymous with everything we do.

Westbury have always been an architecturally-led design company and have spent years developing their products with a passion for detail, while ensuring the product is technically correct. Our drive has been to get it right without compromising the overall appearance.

Due to ever increasing demand for supply and greater quality for our unique products we have invested in the future and over the last few years have acquired the latest technology. Using CNC machinery we are able to provide a higher quality product and greater output. Combining this new speed and efficiency with our traditional joinery methods, we can now offer a range of doors and windows at competitive prices; a product that is the best on the market for those discerning buyers who know the difference and struggle to find the right product in the market place.

All of our doors and windows are produced in a controlled environment to eliminate problems associated with site glazing which will meet NHBC and Building Control requirements and will last long term. Also all furniture is factory fitted so a minimum of skill and time is required on site.

Westbury have been breaking in to the top end window and door market with the knowledge from the past 18 years developing and establishing their conservatory product and name. Now our product is available to more than just the conservatory buyer our traditional doorsand windows will enhance any building and last the test of time with the appearance of traditional Westbury joinery but incorporating a unique concealed storm proof system they will give excellent weathering in the most extreme conditions.

At Westbury we give as much attention to the construction of our products as to aesthetics. We have a long tradition of craftsmen at Westbury and our time-served architects, draughtsmen, joiners and conservatory installers are highly skilled. This ensures that we can provide a product that will last and not need continuous maintenance, so customers are in good hands as we place great emphasis on quality of materials. Design, quality and finish have been three of the passions that have driven Westbury for the last 18 years. Westbury has vast experience and success in dealing with Local Authorities and conservation officers by understanding what is required when dealing with listed buildings. Past projects include; Kensington Palace, English Heritage, Grade 1, & 2 listed buildings, areas of outstanding natural beauty, and numerous projects in UNESCO's world heritage City site of Bath.

Westbury have built conservatories to palaces, stately homes, listed buildings, and conservation areas throughout the UK, so we understand what is required when detail and proportion are important.

When setting doors and windows in to new buildings a 20mm set back from the face of the brickwork or if rendered flush with the un-rendered surface this way the render will create a reveal. It is important that the cavity closer or vertical damp proof course is not bridged. The more recessed into the face of the building the frames are set, will enhance the property.

A good set back will also help combat weathering. If windows/doors are positioned flush with the exterior wall it will greatly increase the likelihood of them leaking/ ingressing water/damp.If fixing onto stone or concrete cills it will be necessary to fix a galvanised water bar, we will machine out a groove for this.

While white is our standard colour we are happy to use any colour specified, off whites or colours can often give joinery added depth.
